Vacancy Update August 2011 – Nominating Committee Appointed

Avonbridge and Torphichen congregations have now elected a nominating committee whose task is to interview and listen to potential new ministers and then to recommend one to the congregations. We will shortly be advertising for applicants: look out for the ad in Life & Work!

By its very nature, the work of the committee has to be completely confidential. This is to ensure the applicants’ confidentiality and also to prevent their own congregations being unsettled by discovering that their minister is planning to leave them.

This is a very important and exciting time in the lives of our congregations and we would ask that you all remember the members and work of the committee in your prayers.
